Mrs. Annie Porter Passes January 13

Mrs. Annie Porter passed away at the Lusk Hospital last Saturday, January 13th, death resulting from a heart attack following an operation which she had undergone the past week.

Mrs. Porter had been in ill health for the last ten months and for the last six weeks had been under the care of a physician. She was 76 years, 7 months, and 22 days of age at the time of her passing.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Reverend M. H. Marshall officiating. Mrs. A. DeCastro and Mrs. H. J. Templeton sang "Near The Cross" accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson. Burial was made in the Van Tassell cemetery and the pallbearers were Mike Kuester, Lee Welch, Brent Bruch, Hill Boyles, Jim Bentley, and Chester Flick.


OBITUARY
Annie Amelia Wilson was the daughter of William and Ann Wilson and was born at Rockfort, Illinois on May 22, 1863. On July 4, 1886, Miss Wilson was united in marriage to Hardman Porter and to this union six children were born.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. G. W. North of Willard, Colo., Mrs. George Fox of Green River, Wyoming and Mrs. W. F. Brunckhorst of Lusk, three sons Forest of Harrison, Nebr., Ford of Lusk, and Freeman of Casper. Other relatives include several grand children and two great grand children. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1923. For the last 12 years, Mrs. Porter had made her home with her son, Ford.
