SERVICES FRIDAY FOR G.A. COCHRAN

Services will be held at 3pm Friday in the First Baptist Church for George Albert Cochran, 80, who died Tuesday night, March 18, 1969, after a lengthy illness. He was born April 2, 1888 in Camp, Arkansas.

A retired farmer, he came to Mazie, Oklahoma in 1916 and then to Wagoner County, Oklahoma in 1938. He had been a deacon in the First Baptist Church for 52 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 98.

Survivors include five daughters, Willie Mae Crow and Rosa Louise Crow, both of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Nellie Kirby of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Lillie Bell Shannon of Sweeny, Texas and Mary Geneva Franklin of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; five sons, Paul Cochran of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, George W. Cochran and Jack E. Cochran, both of Wagoner, Tech Sgt. David Henry Cochran of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Sgt. Robert H. Cochran of Fort Hood, Texas; two sisters, Helen Chapman of Mangum, Oklahoma and Sue Patten of Lake Port, California; two brothers, Ben Cochran of Tulare, California and Howard Cochran; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Pastor Wayne Naugher will officiate at the services, assisted by Pastor Ed Foreman of Pryor, Oklahoma. Hersman Funeral Home in Wagoner will be in charge of burial arrangements in the Chouteau Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Edwards, Elmer White, Elmo Cannon, Sam Homan, Bob Lancaster and Burl Greenwood.
