Funeral services for Ellie Belle LASITER, 73, of Sallisaw are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, northeast of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Wayne Efurd officiating. Burial is in Upper Camp Creek Cemetery, northeast of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. LASITER was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Muldrow, to John Wesley PETREE and Martha Jane DAVIS. She died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Henry Jackson PETREE Jan. 25, 1949, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1979. Survivors include one daughter, Lavon; three sons, John, James, and Clarence; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dovie, Ruth and Nettie; five stepdaughters, Pearl, Leona, Goldie, Elsie and Jewell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mrs. LASITER was also preceded in death by three sisters, Bonnie BALLINGER, Mattie REED and Cora RICHARDSON; and three brothers, Marion PETREE, Burl PETREE and Sterling PETREE.
