Dovie Ada Leona Petree Winkler went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at the age of 83 years and 11 months. Waiting for her there are her parents, John and Martha Petree; her husband, James Walter Winkler; seven sisters, Goldie Petree, Ellie Lasiter, Bonnie Ballinger, Cora Richardson, Myrtle Bryant, Mattie Reed and Nettie Richardson; three brothers, Marion, Berley and Sterling Petree; two granddaughters, Lynda Thesson and Rhonda Winkler; two grandsons, James Edwards and Kenneth Luther; and one son-in-law, Butch Canada. Waiting here on earth to join her later are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bea Canada, Linda and David Jantz and Coleta and Tom Davis; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Edna Winkler; eight granddaughters, Janie Cheney and husband, Keith, Angela Kelley and husband, Dewayne, Cynthia Wood and husband, Bryan, Sonya Garrison and husband, Wayne, Marcinda Nipper and husband, Zachary, Sherry Franklin and husband, James, Patricia Wofford and Pamela Risenhoover and husband, Bob; six grandsons, Kevin Canada, Harold Canada and wife, Vicki, Melvin Canada, Mike Luther and wife, Kim, Jeff Luther and Todd Davis; 26 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was a homemaker and loved her family. She believed in the Lord and now Heaven has another angel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
