Mrs. Walsh retired from the Bourbonnais Post Office after more than 20 years of service. She was born the daughter of Lawrence A. and Zella M. Fortin Regnier. Her husband, Clifford A. Walsh, whom she married Sept. 6, 1937, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, died Dec. 30, 1997. In 1972, Mrs. Walsh and her husband moved to Florida, after retirement, and she returned to Kankakee in 2000. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She had been a den mother for Cub Scouts and a room mother. She enjoyed sewing. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Michael and Gloria Walsh of Auburn, Ala.; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Sister Sharon Ann Walsh LCM of Evergreen Park, Joan and Clarence Schultz of Kankakee, Kathleen Szurek of Chicago, Julie K. and Matthew Adams of Plymouth, Minn.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Robert Guimond of Bourbonnais; and two sisters-in-law, Celeste Regnier of Bourbonnais, and Jeanne Alice Regnier of Lady Lake, Fla. Deceased are one son-in-law, Ronald Szurek; four brothers, Amos, Romaine, Roger, and Richard; and one sister, Magdalene Belisle.
