Adelene Bohannon, age 91, of Brewers, KY, died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Britthaven of Benton in Benton, KY. Bohannon was a retired manager for Dollar General Store and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Ed and Lois (Thweatt) Rose. She was also preceded in death by her husband Claude Bohannon Sr.; one son George Edward Bohannon; and three sisters, Geneva Evelyn Mathis, Martha McKenty, and Novalee Bohannon.
Mrs. Bohannon is survived by one daughter; Sarah Franklin and husband Jerry of Brewers, KY; two sons Claude Bohannon Jr. and wife Joyce of Brewers, KY and Ronnie Bohannon and wife Sandy of Benton, KY; a daughter in law; Shirley Bohannon of Brewers, KY; two sisters Betty Duncan and Dorothy Griggs both of Benton; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2010, with Rev. Rodney Wallace and Rev. Mike Littrell officiating. Interment will be at Soldier Creek Cemetery, Benton, KY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 19, 2010 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY
