Son of Frederick Lewis Hough and Isabel Smiley Parker, husband of Blanche Edwards and father of Lawrence Edwards Hough.

Obituary - Willard Parker Hough, assistant structural engineer of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit, a well-known member of the Brooklyn Engineers Club and a member of the American Legion, died yesterday afternoon at Melba Sanitarium after an operation. Mr. Hough was taken suddenly ill Sunday at his home, 95 East Eighteenth Street, Flatbush, and was hurried to the sanitarium. Death was due to peritonitis, which followed the operation.

Mr. Hough was well-known as an engineer and was an active lodge man, belonging to several Masonic bodies and other orders. His summer home was at Patchogue, L.I., where he was identified with the South Side Yacht and Field Club. He was a former rear commander of the Bergen Beach Yacht Club, Brooklyn.

He was a vestryman at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Patchogue.

He was a member of the South Side Lodge, No. 493, F. and A. M., Patchogue; Suwassett Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Patchogue; Patchogue Lodge No. 13323, B.P.O.E. and Gilbert Council, R.A., Brooklyn.

Mr. Hough was interested in the development of Long Island and was a member of the Long Island Waterways League, which is backing the project of an inland waterway along the South Shore. He was interested in preparedness and had signed for the Plattsburgh camp.

Mr. Hough was 35 years old. He was born in Media, Pa., and was graduated from Williamson School in the course of architecture. He was connected with several bridge building corporations for several years, located at Wilmington, Del., Phoenixville, Pa., and Indianapolis. Later he was identified with the firm of Boller, Hodge & Baird, consulting engineers, Manhattan. He has been with the B.R.T. since the starting of the construction on the dual system.

Funeral services will be held at the residence, 95 East Eighteenth Street, this evening, with the ceremony by the Elks and the Rev. Jacob Probst, and later services on Wednesday afternoon in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Patchogue, L.I., where the Masonic rites will be held. Interment will be in Patchogue.
