Paul Allen Rushing Jr. passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Elisabeth Episcopal Church, 5910 Blackoak Lane, River Oaks. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment: City Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Coach Al graduated from Azle High School in 1968. He went to Weatherford College and TWC, receiving his bachelor's degree in education. Al taught math and coached at Southlake for 17 years, then taught in Grapevine, Aledo and Boyd and most currently at Boswell. His love was coaching, football and track, and making a difference with young people. Al was very willing to help his students and was dedicated to his profession, his family and especially his mother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Allen Rushing Sr.
Survivors: Mother, Louise Rushing; sister, Mary Zepnikowski and husband, Ted; nephews, Tad and Andrew Zepnikowski; great-nephews, Jacob, Zachary and Ryan Zepnikowski; and numerous cousins and loving friends.
