Born to Philo T. and Hazel Thayne Farnsworth, May 11, 1925 in Mountain Home, Utah.
Married Walter Aaron Cummings, April 16, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Her great love for our Savior was shown throughout her life as she served and showed love and compassion to those she met.
Laura was very active in the LDS Church serving in many ward and stake positions in the Relief Society, Young Women, Primary, Sunday School. She did extractions, and with her husband, served as ward missionaries and stake employment specialists. They enjoyed doing ordinance work at the Jordan River Temple.
Always busy, she loved camping, traveling, crafts, sewing and gardening. She loved her family and especially enjoyed their grandchildren.
Our lives are so much better because of her. We love her and miss her greatly.
Survived by husband, Walter; daughter, Denna (Gary) Brown, Kearns, UT; son, Byron Cummings (Deborah), Eloy, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Afton Mackie; Grace Wilkins; Leah (Jerry) Bassett; Veloy (Vern) Bird; brothers, Leo (Beth) Farnsworth; Lon (Jane) Farnsworth; Durell (Linda) Farnsworth; and Dee (Eileen) Farnsworth. Preceded in death by son, Terry; two brothers, Clair and Rex.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Kearns 24th Ward, 4000 West 5900 South.
Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and on Saturday at the church from 9-9:45 a.m.
Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
