Mrs. Nona Christine Hanks, 83, Athens, died Saturday at a local nursing home.
The funeral was Monday at McConnell Funeral Home with burial in Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanks, native of Limestone County, was a member of the Isom's Chapel Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Atlee Hanks.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Hanks and Don Hanks, both of Athens; one sister, Mamie Thomas of Athens; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
