It is with sadness that we chronicle the death of our neighbor and friend, Mrs. W. J. Duckworth, who died at her home in Acton last Saturday night after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon by Rev. M. M. Robinett. She leaves a husband, one son and seven daughters, one brother and other relatives and many friends to mourn her death. Another soul has passed quietly to the Great Beyond, peacefully resignedly, even cheerful as had been her want through life. She was loved by all who knew her. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood.
