On November 3, 1850, Rebecca was united in marriage with Jacob Farst, he was the son of Jacob and Sarah Huggins Farst. Jacob and Rebecca lived near Bunker Hill and were the parents of thirteen known children as follows- Isaiah W. Farst of near Salem, baby Samantha Farst who died at age 4 months, Sarah S. Farst Secrist of near Bellville, Mary Ann Farst Coe of Davis, baby Almeda Farst who was stillborn, Joseph Emerson "J.R." Farst of Toledo, Martha Ann Farst Swendal of Mansfield, Luther R. Farst of Lexington, Miss Luthera Irene Farst of Bunker Hill and Butler, J. Gertrude "Jennie" Farst Stake of White Hall, Essie Rebecca Farst Bell of Butler, baby Leroy J. Farst who died at 6 months and Dasie B. Farst who died age 2 years.
Rebecca was a homemaker, she died at the young age of 59 at her home east of Butler of "softening of the brain." Her funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church and she was buried in the St. John's Cemetery, adjacent to the church and near Pleasant Hill Lake, Monroe Township, Richland County, Ohio. Many of Rebecca's Rummel family members are buried at St. John's Cemetery near the Farst family.
