Ms. Carmel Adams of Mulberry(Crawford County), Arkansas, died August 18, 2008, in Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas. She was born in Mountain Grove Community, Arkansas. Ms. Adams was a retired production secretary for Riverside Funiture of Fort Smith; a homemaker; and a member of the Mainstreet Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the song leader and a Sunday School teacher.
Ms. Adams was a master gardener and she served on the Crawford County Fairboard.
Ms. Adams was preceded in death by her husband: Jams Royce Adams.
She is survived by two sons: James A. Allen and his wife: Raylene, of Mulberry, Arkansas and Ronnie J. Adams, and his wife: Cathy, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; five sisters: Dora F. Roe, of Mulberry, Arkansas, Sue Dowd, of Texarkana, Texas, Merle A. Stoal, of Mountain Home, Arkansas Marsha Mirra, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Pam Hudson, of Alma, Arkansas; five brothers: Henson Coe, of fort Smith, Arkansas, Bobby cole of Tacoma, Washington, Billy Cole, of Alma, Arkansas, Tomy Cole, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Jesse Cole, of Modoc, Kansas; 7 wonderful grandchildren; and 16 precious great-grandchldren; and 1 very special great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held on Friday, August 22, 2008, at the Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers were: Alan Kizer, Gregg Kizer, Stephen Smith, Caleb Work, John Montoya, and Mike Roe.
Honorary pallbearers were: Jack james, Kent James, Gary moon, Lee Conn, Jeremy Tipton, andmembers of the Fort Smith Master Gardener's Club.
