Lane Eastby died on Saturday, April 9, at St. Clare Hospital after a lengthy series of illnesses and impairments. He was born in Campbell, Minnesota, to Lars and Anna Eastby, and attended schools in Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelors Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota.

After 24 years of military service as a physical therapist and medic, he then served 18 years in the Physical Therapy department at the American Lake Veterans Hospital. He was very dedicated to his profession and found great joy in helping others.

A great husband and father, he always put his family first in his life. Lane is survived by his wife, Ione; two sons, Forrest of California and Jeff (Marilyn) and two special grandchildren, Erik and Jake of Auburn, Washington; and a brother, Vernon of Texas.
