MR. JOHN McCAMMON PASSES AWAY
Saturday night of last week Mr. John Robert McCammon of the Air Mount Section, died suddenly from a probable heart attack. Aged about 74 years.
Mr. McCammon was born and reared in the section in which he died and so far as we know had never lived out of the community. He was an indestrious and law-abiding citizen who stayed close to his home and business and had the respect and esteem of all who knew him.
Several children (9) were reared in his home. So far as we known, all are living. A number of grandchildren survive. The children, two sons, Aaron at the home, Harvey, of near Pine Valley, Miss., and six daughters, Mesdames J. P. Cofer, Henry Brewer, M. L. Schmitz, all of Coffeeville, Miss.; and S. H. Shepherd, of Water Valley, Miss.; Georgia McCammon of Jackson, Miss.; W. A. Shepherd of Eupora, Miss.
His wife died severals years ago, also a son Willis.
Interment was in Pilgram Rest Cemetery, near Coffeeville, Miss., Yalobusha County Monday Morning of this week
Rev. J. A. McKibben conducted the funeral services.
