In 1870 Lutheria was living in Elk, Vinton County, Ohio with her parents and siblings, Artemicia, age 18, Preston, age 15, and Miles W., age 9. John Wyman was a farmer. John was born in about 1801 and Mary Stiles Wyman was born in about 1813.
Lutheria first married Samuel Brady Nixon on 9 May 1886 in Ross County, Ohio. Samuel Brady Nixon was the father of Francis Anthony "Frank" Nixon and grandfather of President Richard Milhous Nixon. Samuel Nixon had previously been married to Sarah Ann Wadsworth.
Sarah contracted tuberculosis and died in January of 1886.
Samuel Nixon worked in a pottery factory, taught school and carried the mail. He eventually saved money to buy a 40 acre farm.
In 1900 Samuel and Lutheria Nixon were living in Swan, Vinton County, Ohio. Living in the household was Samuel's son Earnest Nixon, born in 1883 in Ohio and Samuel and Lutheria's son Hugh H. Nixon, born in 1892 in Ohio. Samuel was a farmer. In 1910 Samuel's uncle, William Shry is living in the household. Earnest Nixon became a professor at Pennsylvania State University.
Samuel Brady Nixon died on 28 April 1914.
The Santa Ana Register reported that a marriage license was issued to Lutheria Nixon, age 52 and William V. Marshburn, age 60, both of Yorba Linda, California on 11 February 1916. They were married on 13 February 1916 in Orange County, California. William V. Marshburn was the son of Obed Marshburn and Katherine Pickett. William was born in North Carolina.
William V. Marshburn's wife, Hermeo Pidgeon Marshburn died on 1 January 1913 in Yorba Linda, Orange County, California.
In 1920 William and Lutheria were living in Placentia, Orange County, California with William's children. William was a physician. In 1930 William and Lutheria were living in Fullerton, California. William had a citrus farm.
Lutheria' step son was Oscar Obid Marshburn. Oscar married Rose Olive Milhous, Richard Nixon's Aunt. Richard Nixon wrote in his memoirs. "Nearly every time I visited them (the Marshburns) I borrowed a copy (National Geographic Magazine). It was my favorite magazine".
