Richard Gingerich, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2008, Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. Richard resided at Thorntonview Retirement Home, Oshawa and was formerly of New Hamburg. He was born 65 years ago in New Hamburg and was the son of the late Willis and Mabel (Bast) Gingerich. Loving father of Margaret Ann (Margie) and her partner Paul of Kitchener. Grandpa of Jessica (Luigi), Cody and Ryan. Dear brother of his twin, Robert and Shirley Gingerich, Verlus and Marietta Gingerich and Ron and Judy Gingerich all of New Hamburg. Also remembered by son-in-law, Andrew Cavaliere and a number of nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Larry in infancy. Richard enjoyed gardening and foil etchings, which he passed on to his family and friends. He liked making new friends and most sports. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday August 21, 2008, at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Steinmann Mennonite Church Cemetery, Baden. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Thorntonview Retirement Home.
