Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 18, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Carl Shelton officiating. A memorial service will follow, at Northside Baptist Church.
A Guilford County native, she was born January 11, 1950, the daughter of James Hobert Johnson and Nannie McBride Johnson. She attended Lakeview Baptist Church. Myra was employed as Deli Manager at Food Lion at Lee's Chapel Crossing Shopping Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hobert and Nannie McBride Johnson, and two sisters, Helen Tolliver and Ann Hunt, and grandson, Jeffrey Michael Harrison, Jr.
Myra is survived by two sons, James Ray "Jimmy" Harrison, Jr. and wife, Marla, of Greensboro and Jeffrey M. "Mike" Harrison and wife, Crystal, of Greensboro; seven sisters, Juanita Moore of Greensboro, Arcola Eaton of Whitsett, Faye Deeming of Greensboro, Billie Wilson of Greensboro, Linda Moore of Greensboro, Cynthia Mahaffey of Greensboro and Janice Jones of Antigua, West Indies; three brothers, Richard Johnson of Walkertown, Edward Johnson of Colfax and Leon Johnson of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie and Zechariah Harrison; 23 nieces, 25 nephews, 24 great-nieces, 29 great-nephews, five great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.
