Dennis and Johanna Bresnahan - Purcell were married in Ireland.
They immigrated from Tralee, County Kerry in 1864, with their baby Michael to Milltown, New Brunswick, Canada, where Johanna's brother Michael Bresnahan was already living and working.

Johanna Bresnahan Purcell left home on July 8, 1864, on Saturday and sailed on the 16th of July, 1864, from liverpool, and landed on Saturday, the 25th of August, 1864, and came to St. Stephen, the 29th of August, 1864.

Dennis went to work on the 3rd of September, 1864.
