HANOVER --- Blanche Branham Abbate, 77, died Thursday at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.

She was a native of Cynthiana, Ky., and a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors: three sons, Robert and Donald Branham, both of Manville, and William Branham; three daughters, Ruth G. Tinker of Vevay and Shirley A. Pickett and Esther L. Wooten, both of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Joseph G. Abbate Jr. of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Thomas J. Abbate; a brother, Edgar Ritchie, of Madison; 31 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday, Vail-Holt Hanover Funeral Home. Burial: Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday.

Notes: Conflict between obit and death certificate about where she died, the obit says she died in Madison at King's Daughters Hospital and the Death Certificate states that she died in Hanover at Hanover Nursing Home.

Blanche was the daughter of James M. Ritchie and Emma Asbury. She married James Edward Branham on 6 April 1933.

Their children:

•1. Donald E. Branham born LIVING

•2. Louise Branham born LIVING

•3. Shirley Branham born LIVING. She was adopted by Tilly and Mary Pickett when she was 5 years of age with the permission of James & Blanche Branham.

•4. James Edward Branham Jr. born 8 October 1935 and died 10 September 1990. He married Aline Wilson.

•5. Robert Lewis Branham born LIVING. He married Helen Miller.

•6. William G. Branham born 3 May 1940 in Switzerland Co, IN and died 23 January 2005 in Madison, Jefferson Co, IN. He married Ruth Sanders.
