Mrs. Hannah Barningham, one of the pioneer residents of Winnebago county, passed away September 3, and the remains were laid to rest the day following in the Durand cemetery.
Mrs. Barningham was born in Duckinfield, England, April 21, 1830 and came to this country when she was but 11 years of age. Most of her life in the United States was spent in Winnebago County and she formed a large circle of friends who were deepy grieved at her taking away. She was married to Matthew Barningham in 1846. Ten children were born of this union and eight of them still survive, all residing within a few miles of the home of the mother, who lived with a son and daughter at the time of her death.
