Mrs. Mary Ann Williams Hoffman, aged 81, died at 9 o'clock Saturday night at her home near Clintonville. Surviving are the following children: Edward H. Hoffman, at home; Mrs. Hosea Welton, of near Clintonville; Mrs. Cassie Hovis, at home; Mrs. Clinton Dunlap. of R.D. 1, Harrisville, and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Gilmore, of R. D. 1, Harrisville, and Mrs. Carlisle Walter, of Barkeyville. Also one stepbrother, Edward Cokain, of near Clintonville.
Mrs. Hoffman's husband died over 11 years ago. Mrs. Hoffman was a devoted Christian and will be greatly missed in the community. She was still active and ever ready to help those in need.
The pall-bearers at the funeral were John E. Williams, George Williams and J. E. Gilmore, nephews of Mrs. Hoffman, and Delmar Dunlap, William Welton and Harold Hoffman, who are grandsons. The funeral services were held on Tuesday at the home, in charge of her pastor, Rev. Bish, with interment following in the Clintonville cemetery.
