Herndon--Died, at the Springfield hospital, Thursday morning, Sept.7, 1899, Mrs. Mary Ann Herndon, aged 46 years.
Mrs. Herndon was well known in Springfield, having been a resident of Sangamon county a number of years. She was the wife of J. N. Herndon; a prominent farmer living nine miles north of the city. She is survived by her husband and three children. Mrs. Herndon was held in high esteem by large circle of friends who will be grieved to hear of her demise.
The funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock this morning at the residence in Fancy Creek township.
