Thelma Z. Angell, 89, died of congestive heart failure Sunday at Meadowbrook Convalescent Hospital in Hemet. Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.

McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Angell, who was born in Kirksville, Mo., lived in Hemet 20 years after living in Bloomington, Minn., 30 years. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Jacinto, a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Bloomington where she served as secretary and a member of the Professional Women's Club. She enjoyed painting, ceramics and traveling.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Steffen of Hemet and Judith Koch of Norristown, Pa.; a son, David Jewett of Apple Valley, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
