Adrian L. Gawlik, 69, of Cottonwood Shores, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, in Austin.

He was born Jan. 22, 1938, to David and Frances Sekula Gawlik in Karnes County. He married Ethel Rose Dziuk on Oct. 24, 1964, in Kosciusko.

Mr. Gawlik served in the U.S. Army on active duty and in the Reserve. He began working for the Frito Lay Co. as a salesman in Marble Falls and the Hill Country area in 1972 and retired in 2000 after 28 years. He served as a city councilman in Cottonwood Shores for 10 years, and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bay, where he served as an usher until recently.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ethel Rose Gawlik of Cottonwood Shores; one son, David Gawlik and wife Monique of Pflugerville; two daughters, Monica Stallsworth and husband David of Red Lion, Pa., and Paula Craig and husband Clark of Marble Falls; one brother, Alfred Gawlik of San Antonio; one sister, Proxy Adair of San Marcos; and seven grandchildren and one due in January 2008.
