Samuel Oakman was born 15 Mar 1698 in Marshfield, MA. He is the son of Tobias Oakman and Elizabeth Doty. His mother is the great grand daughter of the Mayflower Pilgrim Edward Doty. On 6 Jan 1725 he married Elizabeth Hatch at the Second Church of Scituate. Together they had four children: Tobias, Samuel, Israel, and Elizabeth. He died 21 Nov 1739 at the age of 41.
