A.A. WILLINGHAM DIES THURSDAY
A.A. Willingham, 62, Goodwater died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday at the DeQueen hospital following a short illness.
Born November 13, 1885, in Arkansas, he had resided at Goodwater for the past 18 years, moving from Olney, Tex. He was a farmer and a member of he Assembly of God church.
He is survived by his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Ray Peek, Brawley, Calif.; Mrs. Lee Weaver, Idabel; Mrs. Joe Geurman, San Bernardio, Calif., and Miss Clara Willingham, Goodwater; one son, Austin Willingham, Jr., Goodwater; three brothers, Booker Willingham, Goodwater; Guy Willingham, Hot Springs, N.M. and Leon Willingham, Brawley; five sisters, Mrs. Clib Doan, Olney; Mrs. Earnest Box, Wright City; Mrs. Ray Starr, Portales, N.M.; Mrs. Jean Short, Abilene and Mrs. John Hobbs, Lawton, Tex. and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Cerrogordo cemetery with Rev. J.N. Appleberry officiating. Arrangements and burial were under the direction of Coffey funeral home. [Thank you Danny Willingham for the obit.]
