John Booker Willingham, 70, Cerrogordo, died at 7 pm Thursday at McCurtain Memorial Hospital.

Born October 6, 1889 in Arkansas, he had resided in this county more than 35 years. He was at Cerrogordo 30 years before moving to Broken Bow five years ago. When Mrs. Willingham died on January 17 of this year, he returned to Cerrogordo to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Jack Lawson.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by one son, John Booker Willingham Jr., Brawley CA; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Lawson, Cerrogordo and Mrs. M.D. Matthews of Albuquerque NM, two brothers; Guy and Leon Willingham both of Brawley CA, four sister; including Mrs. Chib Doan, Olney TX; Mrs. Gean Short, Abilene TX and Mrs. Ray Starr Portales NM; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
