Henry Ashbaugh was born on Oct. 11, 1770 the son of Andrew (Andreas) and Maria Odessima (Artimesia) Eschbach in Mount Joy Township, Adams Co., PA. and the grandson of Johann Heinrich (Henry)& Maria Elizabetha (Unknown) Eschbach. He was baptized in 1771 at St. John's Church in Littleton, PA.
He married Susannah Rummel, daughter of George (Jeorg) and Catherine (Schedron) Rummel in 1790 and they had the following known children:

Susannah was born in 1771 in Adams Co., PA and died on Aug. 20, 1850 in Freeport, Armstrong Co., PA. She may be buried next to her husband.(there are the remains of a broken similar marker in the ground beside and inline with Henry's grave marker).
