M. L. CURRIER DEAD.
Had Been Ill Long, and Operation Proved Useless—A Veteran of the Civil War.
Mr. M. L. Currier, 501 Locust street, who was operated on at Blessing hospital on January 1st, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning, aged 55 years. Deceased was born March 1st, 1845, in Clinton county, New York. He enlisted in the union army at the age of 17 years and after the war came West and settled in Quincy, which has been his home since. Besides an aged mother, he leaves a widow and seven children, Robert, Bert and Lillie Currier; Mrs. Frank Bertell, Mrs. J. VanTuyl and Henry Albrecht, all of this city, and William Albrecht of Manila, P. I. He was a member of the Christian church and belonged to the A. O. U. W. and the Carriage makers' Association. The funeral services will take place at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the house, friends invited.
