Esther Axe

Near Dowlin's Forge, in East Brandywine, yesterday, Esther, wife of Jacob Axe, died at the age of 67 years. She was a worthy Christian woman and held in high regard. Two sons, Charles, of Atlantic City, and H. Calvin, of Downingtown, survive her, as does also a married daughter in Philadelphia.

AXE- In East Brandywine township, on January 6th, 1901, Esther, wife of Jacob Axe, aged 67 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from her late residence, near Dowlin's Forge, on Wednesday, January 9th. Leave the house at 9:45 a.m. Services and interment at Honeybrook M.E. Church at 12 o'clock noon.

The funeral of Mrs. Eshter Axe took place from her late residence near Dowlin's Ford (sic), at 12 o'clock to-day, and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Services were held in Honeybrook M.E. Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. Q. Bennett. Interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
