Mrs. J.Leonard Brown
Mrs. Virgie Louise Brown,49,wife of James Leonard Brown of Noblesville,Ind., and formerly of Shenandoah, died January 25th, at the Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She had been ill for the past four years and had been in the hospital a week before her death.
She was born December 11,1911 in Shenandoah where she spent all her life with the exception of the last seven years. She was a member of the Luthern Church. She was a devoted wife, mother,neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed in her home and community.
Her many relatives here were unable to attend the funeral services due to the weather.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jennings (Dorothy) May, of Noblesville, Indiana, Mrs J.D. (Betty) Belcher, of Danville, Illinois and Mrs. Stuart (Mary Lee) Koch, San Antonio, Texas; three sons, Roy McDaniel, of Manassas, Va; and Jimmy and Robert Brown at home, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Coultren Funeral Home in Noblesville, January 27 at 2p.m. with her pastor the Rev. K.E. Page officiating. Interment took place in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
