LINCOLNTON - Hattie Estes Alexander, 106 of 144 Landers Chapel Road, died March 24, 1999 at Lincoln Medical Center. Born Jan. 28, 1893 in Upshire County, TX, she was a member of Landers Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Drake Costner and Suvilla Schrum Costner, her spouse, Julius Pender Alexander, two sons, Roy William Alexander and Malcolm G. Alexander.

Survivors include a son, Julius Paul Alexander of Fla.; daughters, Eloise A. Witherspoon of Bessemer City, NC, Dorothy A. Keever and Sarah Ann Self, both of Lincolnton; 12 grandchildren

20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Duane Flynn and Rev. Ralph Self officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at E.F. Drum Funeral Home.
