Wife of Robert Johnstone, and mother of Ann (Johnstone) Crossett, wife of William Crossett, noted Paterson manufacturer, aged 75 years.

Ann Johnstone and her husband Robert were originally buried in the Sandy Hill Cemetery in Paterson. Owing to the derelict conditions of this cemetery, many Paterson residents sought to rebury the remains of family members in the new Victorian cemetery, Cedar Lawn, which officially opened in 1867. Ann and Robert Johnstone were both buried together in the Crossett family plot at Cedar Lawn on 13 April 1874.
