MERRILLVILLE -- Lester Harms, 77, a farmer and member of Heritage Lutheran Church, Valparaiso, died Monday at home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1904 in Hobart, the son of John and Sophie (Schavey) Harms. In 1946 he married Mathilda Prochno who died in 1980. In August 1981 he married Margaret Holt who survives.
A sister, Lois Bonner of Hobart, also survives.
Services 2 p.m. Thursday at Wetmore Funeral Home, Valparaiso; the Rev. Joseph Molitoris officiating; burial Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso; visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday; memorials to Heritage Lutheran Church.
