Frederick A. Heusler, 88, of 99 Lewis St., died Saturday at Geneva General Hospital following an extended illness. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DeVaney Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. W. James Gerling, of North Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Born in Troy, Penn., Heusler was a resident of Geneva for many years. He was the son of the late Maximillan and Amelia Black Heusler. He was employed at New York Electric & Gas Corp. until his retirement several years ago. Heusler was a member of the Quarter Century Club at NYSEG, the Senior Citizens of Geneva, Noontimers Club, American War Dads, Old Castle Lodge of the Oddfellows and the North Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Heusler, four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Beatrice) Smith of Rochester, Mrs. Guy (Dorothy) Chambers of Lyons, Mrs. James (Rosemarie) Barrett of New Jersey, and Mrs. James (Jean) Kelley of Biloxi, Miss.; three sons, Donald Heusler of Penn Yan, Gerald Heusler of Clifton Springs and Frederick Heusler of Bethel Isle, Calif; one step-daugher, Mrs. Dorothy Hadsell of Canandaigua; one step-son Donald Holbrook of Shortsville; two sisters, Mrs. Olga Hoot of Point Breese and Mrs. Rose Keinart of Penn Yan; 30 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
