"Charles Cunningham Obituary - Macon County Citizen - Oglethorpe, GA. Dec. 10, 1920 - DEATH OF MR. CHARLES CUNNINGHAM

Mr. Charlie Cunningham, one of Macon County's best known and most highly respected citizens, passed into the great beyond Sunday morning at 6 o clock. The cause of his death is supposed to have been heart trouble, he having been in ill health some months. Mr. Cunningham was in his 61st year, and is survived by a wife, Mrs. Annie E. Collins Cunningham, and three sons, W. G. Collins of Greenville, S.C., Charles Collins of Macon and G. T. Collins of Greensboro, S.C. and the following sisters: Mrs. S. E. Bush of Albany, Mrs. N. D. Pinkston and Mrs. E. E. Slack, both of Tifton, all of whom attended the interment.

The remains were laid to rest in the Oglethorpe Cemetery Monday afternoon with the following as the pallbearers: L. E. Shealy, R. L. Greer, W. C. Johnson, D. C. Smith, B. C. Kennedy, C. T. Harden, D. P. Coogle, C. A. Creer. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. F. E. Collins of Macon, Mr. John McKenzie of Montezuma, Mr. Guerry and Mr. Vernon Holloway, both of Americus.

The deceased had resided in this county a number of years, and only recently moved to Oglethorpe, where he has many friends to mourn his loss."
