Survivors are his wife, Betty Woods Dixon, of the home; daughters, Cynthia Savage of the home and Annette Giles of Georgia; sons, Darnell (Sherryl) Dixon and J. Titus (Andrea) Dixon, both of Raleigh; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her mother-in-law, Mother Cornelia Gunn, of the home.
