Frederick Kenneth Immoor, a Zephyr Cove resident for the past 25 years, died 12 August 2000 at South Lake Tahoe. He was born 20 March 1926 in Englewood, New Jersey, to Fred Inmoor and Catherine O'Shea. Before moving to Zephyr Cove, he lived in Virginia City. Mr. Immoor and his wife Dorothy spent 1958-82 restoring the Gold Hill Hotel, one of Nevada's oldest operating hotels. In 1965, they moved to Lake Tahoe where he enjoyed writing, mastering sign language and volunteering. He assisted in the Outreach Program, Bijou's Elementary Special Ed class, and Holly Greenough's class at STMS. In March, the Tahoe Daily Tribune dubbed him a "Professional Grandpa." He loved kids and had a hug for all of them. He was a member of Catholic Christian/Our Lady of Tahoe church. He was a veteran of World War II. He was survived by two sons, a daughter, a brother and sister, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. [Edited from an unsourced obituary added by earlier user.]
