We are grieved to hear of the fatal accident which befell Richard, the young and promising son of Mrs. A. H. Samples, of Gonzales county. Saturday morning he started home from work and had gone but a short distance when his horse stumbled, throwing him to the ground. He was taken home and died yesterday evening. We extend to the bereaved family our most sincere sympathy.

Richard, the little son of Mrs. A. H. Sample, whose horse fell with him on the 13th inst., died from the injuries received on the 15th, and was laid to rest Wednesday by the side of his brother, who was accidentally shot three years ago. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved relatives. Weep not fond mother, for your little boy has only gone before to the Saviour whom you love so well.
We hear the bright angelic band,
With a harp in every hand,
Raise high their notes of praise
To God through endless days.
