Aletha 'Gwen' Tibbett, 85, of Linton, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Greene County General Hospital. She was born on August 23, 1922, in Lyons, IN, to Lee A. & Rosa (Deckard) Tibbett.

She was an employee of the Social Security Administration, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Indianapolis and attended the Linton Church of Christ and the Linton First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Marlene Whitaker; one niece, Kathy Trump; three nephews, Garry, Greg and Brad Lacy; one great-niece, Stephenie Trump; and four great-nephews, Michael Lacy, Mikeal Trump, Zachary and Benjamin Lacy, all of Linton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-niece, Jennifer Lacy.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday with Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
