Frank E. Spiers, vice president of the Farmers Savings bank of Ankeny and chairman of the Polk county exemption board, died yesterday morning at his home in Ankeny of pneumonia, following an attack of Spanish influenza. Mr. Spiers was 36 years old and is survived by his widow and two children.
