FORMER AMITY YOUTH DIES ON OKINAWA
Word was received late last week by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nist of Dallas of the death of their son, Pfc. Frank Nist Jr., of wounds received on Okinawa, reports reaching McMinnville said today.
Pfc. Nist, a member of the 6th marines, was wounded in action on June 8. The Okinawa drive was his sixth major campaign.
The dead marine and his brother, Wesley, attended grade school at Amity. An aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Baker, live in McMinnville.
