Aged Lady Passed Away Yesterday -- Mother of Our Townsman
Mrs. Mary Arehart Bowman died rather suddenly yesterday afternoon at her home near Arbor Hill aged about seventy-two years. She had been an invalid for some time, but was taken worse on Thursday, though her family did not think her seriously ill until a short time before she passed away. She had been paralyzed some years ago. Mrs. Bowman was a Miss Arehart, and was the widow of Mr. Jacob Bowman who died about ten years ago. She was a member of Mount Tabor church and the funeral will take place from there on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock.
She leaves six children, Mrs. Gussie Hanger who lived with her mother, Mrs. Emma McComb, Messrs. John H., C.P., and L.L. Bowman of this city and Mr. J.J. Bowman of the county. She leaves one sister Mrs. Jacob Engleman.
