Mr. Simmons passed away, Monday, August 4.
A native of Byron, Mr. Simmons was the son of the late James Edward Simmons and the late Mary Shurley Simmons. He lived in Jones County most of his life and was a graduate of Dudley Hughes. Mr. Simmons was a retired printing pressman. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by brothers- Donald Simmons and James E. Simmons,Jr. And sisters- Dorothy Culpepper and Diane Jones.
Survivors include his wife- Faye Bell Simmons of Macon; Sons- Clifford O. Simmons and Christopher O.(Pam) Simmons both of Andrews, SC; Jack W.(Angie) Harper of Milledgeville; James(Sherri) Harper of Byron; Dennis(Kim)Johnson of Ft. Valley; Daughter- Shelia(Phillip) Cawthon of Lizella; Brother- Andrew Simmons of Jones County; Sister- Deborah (Jerry) McDaniels of Eatonton
