Rites tomorrow; burial at Pleasant Plains

Miss Fanny E Corson of near New Berlin, lifelong resident of Sangamon county, died at 7:07am yesterday at Springfield Hospital. She had been ill for several months and had been a patient at the hospital for three weeks.

A sister, Mrs JA Ernst of New Berlin, has been a patient at the same hospital for the last fourteen weeks, suffering from a fractured hip.

Remains of Miss Corson were removed to the Hensley & Son funeral home in Pleasant Plains and will be taken at noon today to the residence of Mr and Mrs Roy M Heaton, 700 South Glenwood Avenue. Funeral services will be held at 2pm tomorrow at the Heaton residence, Rev TJ Buckton officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery, northwest of Pleasant Plains.

Miss Corson was born May 20, 1857, near Pleasant Plains, a daughter of Richard and Mary Corson. She resided at the Corson homestead until 1911 when she moved to the home of a sister, Mrs Ernst, near New Berlin.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Farmingdale until moving to New Berlin when she transferred her membership to the Bates Presbyterian church.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs Ernst; Mrs Maggie McGinnis of Cedar Vale, Kan, and Mrs Mary Nottingham, Los Angeles, Calif; also several nieces and nephews.
