Death Followed Illness of About Ten Days; Burial Was Held On Monday Morning
Last Friday at 4:30 o'clock a.m. death called from this life Mrs. Math Hesch of this village who for about 2 weeks, has been staying at the Mr. and Mrs. John A. Rauch home in Agram township where death occurred. Mrs. Hesch was ailing from heart failure for some time and about ten days previous to her departure from life her condition became serious and a physician's care was given her, but of no avail.
Mrs. Hesch, whose maiden name was Agnes Trachofsky, was born in Neuhaus, Bohemia, December 29, 1853. She came to America at the age of 15 years. The Trachofsky family settled at Davenport, Iowa. On leaving Davenport, they moved to Waumandee, Wis., where Agnes Trachofsky was married to Math Hesch on August 18, 1879. In 1911 the Hesch family came to the farm in Agram township now owned and operated by John Hesch. About 15 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Hesch moved to this village. For the past two weeks they were making their home with their daughter, Mrs. John A. Rauch.
Mrs. Hesch is survived by her husband and nine children, Valentine Hesch and Mrs. Val Sendelbach, Waumandee, Mrs. Frank Walek, Mrs. Ed. Berndt, Mrs. Ed. Wagner, all of St. Paul; John Hesch and Mrs. John A. Rauch of Agram and Mrs. William Block of Lastrup, and Miss Clara Hesch of Minneapolis. Another daughter, Rose, died five years ago. The deceased is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Isadore Richlen of Davenport, and a brother, Frank Trachofsky of Cedar Rapids. All of the children were here for the funeral, also Mrs. Isadore Richlen of Davenpoirt. Mr. and Mrs. Hesch celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last Labor day.
Funeral service were held in St. Joseph church here on Monday morning at 8 o'clock and interment followed in the local cemetery.
