Thomas A. "Tom" Abbey, 78, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, April 1, 2004, in San Andreas, CA, surrounded by his wife and family. He was born at his grandmother's house in Colemans Mills, Pennsylvania on January 22, 1926.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara "Bobbie", his children and their families, Tom Jr. and wife Raenette, Wendy Lepper and husband George, Denise Harmond, Claudia Noble and husband Brad, Michael Wood and wife Charlene and Patrick Wood and his wife Mary. He was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many good friends. Tom spent most of his career in the paper industry. In 1979, he and Bobbie formed their own company, Bar A Enterprises. Tom loved to work and his idea of a vacation was spending time working up at The Ranch in beautiful Rail Road Flat. He was always busy with a variety of projects to improve the Ranch. First and foremost, he was a Mason, Staircase Lodge #357. He was a member of El Bekal Shrine, Scottish Rite of Long Beach and York Rite of Long Beach. Tom loved and supported his family and friends. He touched many lives and will be missed.
