Beulah Merle Cates Born August 1, 1915; passed away August 3, 2008 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard (1989), and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Art Yenter. Beulah leaves behind three grandchildren, Wendy Karboski (Larry), Lori Heather and Rick Heather (Kristin), and seven great-grandchildren, Margaret, Alicia, Nathan, Ashley, Olivia, Sarah and Casey. Beulah was 1 of 15 children born to Myrtie and Walter Pierce in Thomasville, MO. She is survived by three sisters, Pauline, Esther and Bonnie (Missouri), and two brothers, Paul and Ben (Morton), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Four brothers and five sisters have preceded her in death. Leonard and Beulah lived in the Puyallup Valley for 38 years. Beulah was a kind and thoughtful mother, grandmother and friend, who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and visits from her great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m at Woodbine Cemetery, Puyallup. Arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home (253) 863-2800.
