Robert L. Jenkins, 69, Rushville, Ind., died Sunday evening, Aug. 12, 1990 in the St. Vincents Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born May 29, 1921 in Clarksburg, W.Va., the son of the Rev. W.B. and Dora Jenkins. For the past 35 years he had been the manager of the American Legion Rushville Post 150. He was a past commander of the Rushville American Legion Post; a past district commander and a past Southern Vice Commander at the state level of the American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a life member of the Rushville VFW. He had resided most of his life in Rushville, Ind.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Meer Ringenberg Jenkins; his father; two sons; one daughter; one stepson; one stepdaughter; two brothers; four sisters and five grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville, Ind.

Visitation will be at the mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
